Patient Participation Group (PPG)
We are looking to make our PPG group as diverse and representative as possible of patients in the Medical Centre.
Your PPG will be made up of a diverse group of patients ranging in age from sixth form students, parents with young children, through to retired people with a lifetime of experience in business and professions.
We also include people with a wide range of medical conditions including high blood pressure, diabetes and heart problems, as well as the blind and severely disabled. Of course we have members with no health problems at all.
As such we feel we represent a true voice of the patients of NPMC and NPMC@ Willen.
We are here to provide a means for patients to make suggestions about the practice and to provide a two-way communication system between patients and the staff within the practice. We act as a representative group that can be called upon to influence the local provision of health and social care.
Address: The PPG Newport Pagnell Medical Centre Queens Avenue Newport Pagnell MK16 8QT

We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff.
To help us with this, we are setting up a virtual patient representation group so that you can have your say. We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.
We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.
If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email please click the link below to open the sign-up form and complete all the fields.

If you prefer, you can download the sign up form as a pdf document, print it out, complete it and return it to the practice.

New ways to access GP Services
Milton Keynes GPs working together to improve Primary Care Services for local people
Useful list for hospital appointments
From December 2015 patients registered with one of the 22 GP practices in the Milton Keynes Collaboration (and part of this pilot scheme), will have the added convenience of being able to see a GP, or other healthcare professional, outside of normal surgery opening hours, including evenings and weekends.
How do I get an appointment?
The same way you would normally - just contact your registered GP practice. Please ensure you give the receptionist enough information to book an appropriate appointment.
What services will be available?
You will be able to see a GP as normal for NHS care. Appointments with other Healthcare professionals are also being developed.
Where will I be seen?
Appointments will be at one of the five GP 'HUB' practices in Milton Keynes. These are:
Broughton Gate Health Centre
CMK Medical Centre
Parkside Medical Centre
The Grove Surgery
Wolverton Health Centre
We need your consent
If an appointment is available you will be asked for your consent to share your electronic medical record. This enables the clinical staff at the 'HUB' practice to view your previous records and add new information. One of the major benefits is that this new information is able to be viewed by your registered practice and ensures continuity of your care.
As the pilot progresses we will be asking patinets to give feedback on the service. Your feedback will be used to help us develop the services beyond the timeframe of the pilot.
If you have any comments please email: PMCF@MKUCS.nhs.uk
